Is an anti-virus app available for Samsung Galaxy

I found out that there are anti-virus apps available, but I need to ask if they are available for the Samsung Galaxy.  If so, are they worth purchasing/downloading?  I'm afraid of getting a virus on my phone but don't want to spend time on this if it isn't worthwhile.  Thank you.

Is an anti-virus app available for Samsung Galaxy

First thing you have to understand that Samsung galaxy uses android operating system . And an android operating system has millions of app and Antivirus on Google play store and other app stores . Some are payable but most of them are free of cost so can download them easily
