Any fan utility to control the speed of the fan?

I want to control the fan of my PC. I want to increase the fan speed when I run some applications like games. Also when I have opened more applications the fan should be worked fast. I am looking for some fan utility software which I can provide the control parameters manually. Also I do not know how to get the temperature of my CPU. Then I can use this data to control the speed of the fan. Is it correct?

There are a number of fan utilities to control both the speed of your fan and to check internal temperature so as to know how and when to regulate computer temperatures. Check these out; FanBelt 1.0, this one regulates the speed of the fan. I8kfanGUI 3.1 shows you the internal temperatures. Thermal Analysis tool 2.5 monitors core 2 Duo cpu temperatures. There are many other. You can download them online.
