I want to know whether the Apple Care Plan or the Apple Care+ is transferable or not? To be more detailed, suppose I have a Mac and I have a Apple Care Protection with it. Now I want to know whether the Apple Care protection plan can be distributed with the Mac I have? Is it against the code of conduct of apple products? I am violating any rules? Please mw with reference to the terms of use and terms of service of Apple Inc.
Is the AppleCare Protection Plan or AppleCare+ transferable?
Hello Anthony!
You can file application to transfer of coverage between devices within thirty (30) days after buying your device. Transfer of AppleCare devices/product’s coverage is offered only between the same types of product and within national borders where acceptable by law. You can also file application of transfer of coverage to another owner. You are not violating the rules of their terms and conditions as long you meet the “30-Day period”. The transfer of service can be achieved fully in United States. For other countries where you bought the device, there will be lots of limitations especially if you bought it with third-party vendors.
Is the AppleCare Protection Plan or AppleCare+ transferable?
Yes, you can transfer ownership of the AppleCare Protection Plan or the AppleCare+ Plan if you sell or give away your Apple Product. Please note though, that this transfer of either Plan is subject to terms and conditions, depending on when you bought your Apple product, and in which country you live. As none of these details were stated in your original question, you can find out all the details here.
