Hi experts,
While trying to access kdump application on my server, I came across an error message which reads as follow:
This system does not have enough memory for kdump to be viable.
The computer which I am using has 2 GB of RAM and Windows controlled page file, running Windows XP.
Does anybody have any ideas as to what could be causing either of these issues?
Thanks in advance

Application Error while accessing “kdump”
Well, my suggestion here is that you should buy a graphics card to increase the video size of your memory. Otherwise you can try increasing the virtual memory of your computer and see if it solves the problem.
To increase the virtual memory, use the following procedure:
– Go to my computer and right click
– Click on properties
– Next look for memory management
– Select the virtual memory tab and increase it.
See if problem is solved.
Note: Some computers may have other ways of accessing the virtual memory which could not be necessarily the one I have outlined above.
Hope this helps.

Application Error while accessing “kdump”
Hello Dear,
This problem can occur due to two reasons.
1. If your Hard Drive / Partition have less free memory on which you are using kdump application.
2. You have a small capacity of RAM inserted.
For first reason you need to uninstall some unnecessary programs to free some space. Also, You can type %temp% on the Run and press enter and delete all the contents of the folder.
For second reason you need to increase the Virtual Memory.
