Multiple users were affected because of an Exchange server issue. It was a simple customer case in the past.
The Exchange server itself appeared healthy, but I still reached out to troubleshoot problems with one of the end users.
He gets an Outlook SSL internal error message shown in the picture when he runs Microsoft Outlook. It also states that “The application experienced an internal error loading the SSL libraries. ”

The application experienced an internal error loading the SSL libraries-Exchange Server
Hello Beatrice,
The following are the likely contributing factors to the error you are getting:
-
The storage system clock could have been skewed by over 5 minutes and therefore breaking the Kerberos authentication
-
The users could also not be able to authenticate as well as have access to the network file shares, and that includes the redirected Application Data folder
-
The could be no access to the Application Data folder, a situation that impacts the SSL validation when Outlook is making HTTPS requests to Exchange
-
It could be hard when it comes to the validation of the SSL cert. Outlook could be failing in a secure manner by blocking the client connecting to Exchange
You will therefore need to correct the storage system clock. After that the access should be resumed, and the SSL errors should go.
Regards,
Carl

Hi,
It seems like authentication is denied. It looks like that storage system clocks is skewed by 5 minutes. Click over the clock icon and correct the time and date. You should know that if the time mismatched then the certificate is not authenticated. This is against kerberos authentication rules. Also SSL validation is denied. Your problem will vanish and you will be able to have access to your outlook account.
