The application has failed to start wordpad2008.exe

Hello to All,

I have no idea what to look for in my event logs for the below error message. I have been receiving the pop up as soon as I boot my Windows 7 machine.

I close all the windows and I try to open one of my word documents and get the following:

E:Wordpad2008Wordpad2008.exe

E:Wordpad2008Wordpad2008.exe

The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the

application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail.

Do I have an infection on my machine? My machine does not freeze on any application but I am not able to open my program

Hello Dear,

Well, have you tried to uninstall and after install your office?? If not then please do only one thing as below.

Click Start then Click Run then write sfc /scannow

This command will start scan your full computer and try to find out damaged file. Also prompt you for fix the file.

Please run this as soon as and fix all the errors. After that please restart your computer. Hope you will get your computer ok. If your problem solved by using this post then please give your comments by return. Thanks in advance, have a nice day.
