Hi,
I was installing Photoshop CS5 on and AMD processor with Win 7 and it was okay.Â
However, when I was trying to launch it this error popped into my screen (please see below).
I searched the web and found several solutions to this but didn’t know how to start, they were rather confusing.
Can anyone guide me on how to resolve the issue?

Hi Tommy,
You may have to reinstall adobe photoshop. Thou firstly you need to download windows Uninstaller and ran it to give you a list of programs installed by the windows installer.
Find Photoshop and uninstall. Note that this will not remove the program but rather it will remove the installation files to enable you reinstall your program afresh. Take note of the destination folder so as not have duplicates of files, so make sure files are replaced in the same previous folder where they were removed from.
Here is an official Microsoft link about windows Uninstaller
Kind regards
Mark

I don't know if you have an incompatible hardware or there is something that needs to be upgraded on your devices because basically your operating system, Windows 7, is supported by Adobe PhotoShop CS5.
To give you the full background of the application’s system requirements:
Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows 7, Windows Vista Home Premium, Business, Ultimate or Enterprise Service Pack 1 (Service Pack 2 recommended)
Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon 64 or higher processor
1 GB RAM
1 GB free hard drive space for installation and requires additional free space during the installation (doesn’t support flash drive installation)
1024 x 768 screen resolution, 1280 x 800 recommended
256 MB built-in video RAM, 16-bit color with hardware-accelerated OpenGL video card (requires Shader Model 3.0 and OpenGL 2.0 for GPU-accelerated features)
DVD-ROM drive
QuickTime 7.6.2
Check the information listed above to verify your installed hardware. Adobe PhotoShop CS5 can’t initialize that’s why it’s showing that error.
Check if you have enough available RAM memory before running Adobe PhotoShop CS5.
