Are all the old tweets searchable in the whole twitter?

I am a regular user in twitter since it started at 21st March 2006. I just wanted to locate and delete the unwanted old tweets. But now I heard that twitter has expanded its search capabilities making it easy to search and locate the old tweets. Is it really true? Please provide your views on it.

Are all the old tweets searchable in the whole twitter?

You may delete your old tweets by going advance search page. Then just enter the date from and date to. And you will get all tweets within that date range. So it is very easy to control your tweet on tweeter. If you want to find a specific tweet then just type the word and date range and it will work.
