Are notifications push compatible for Twitter

Are Twitter notifications "push compatible" on Android tablets? What do these notifications rely upon? I am not able to receive any Twitter notifications if I turn off my device to standby. How can I enable my notifications panel of Twitter on my tablet?

Are notifications push compatible for Twitter

Hi Alicia,
The steps to enable twitter notifications on android tablet are as follows:
1) Start from 'Home' menu, click 'Settings' icon
2) Select the account from the account settings to receive the notifications
3) TO enable the notifications, go to the account user profile. Click on the icon next to follow button
4) Select the 'Turn on notifications' option
5) You should sync your android device with the twitter
6) Go to 'Account and Sync' option in the general settings menu, select the 'Auto-sync' option

7) Restart the device after the settings are applied
