When I updated my phone to IOS 5 I did not create a password but I was recently shocked when I went back to install backup and I was prompted for a password. How could I be asked for a password yet I did not create one in the first place? I don’t think I have to enter a password so that I can restore back up. However, I have entered all passwords that I use but all have failed and now I am stuck. If someone has an idea of what I can do next I will be thankful. Â
Asking password but i did not create any password
Hi Rory Ellis,
When updating your phone to IOS 5 and notifies you for a password when  installing a backup, to solve this problem,  you should try using the password you use whenever you  Log In the user Windows. I am pretty much this will work.
Hope this might help you.
Thanks.

Asking password but i did not create any password
Hello Rory,
Maybe the phone has a default password that was set by the manufacturers, and there you will need to know it so as to install the backup. You can call the customer support of the people who sold you the phone and inquire for the default password that was set for the phone.
Otherwise if you do not remember of any incident where you set the password on the phone, then someone whom maybe you gave the phone to may have set the password without your knowledge, a case which will be a deadlock and may force you to format the phone so as to use the password again.
