Hello to all experts here at TechyV!
I’m having trouble installing .NET assembly into GAC on a Windows 7 desktop.
I just use to drag files into the GAC and never had trouble like this. Does this have something to do with Windows 7?
Please share thoughts and suggested solutions to this error.
Thanks a lot guys!

Assembly Cache Viewer – Install Failed
Hi Crowfoot,
The first that I will suggest that you try to do is copying the files as you were doing but then ensure that your system is running in safe mode. To execute the system in safe mode, just restart the computer, when it is booting be sure to press F8 for it to bring you the boot options and from there choose safe mode and then press enter.
Otherwise, the other possible cause to the problem could that .NET assembly you are installing is not compatible with windows 7, so you should get a version that is meant for windows 7 and execute it.

Assembly Cache Viewer – Install Failed
Hi,
You just simply try this download the error repair tools and then after you download the error repair tools to your machine and then try to install that to your machine and then after you install the error repair tool to your PC you just simply restart the machine and then you just simply start scanning to your machine and then after the scanning is finish just simply repair the found errors to you unit just try that and then try do scan your system if there an viruses or maybe an spyware that can be infected your application or files and then maybe there an corrupted application or files to your system and then simply download the latest version that can be suitable to your windows 7.
