ATI Catalyst makes other Processes Slow

It is a software product used to run the Graphics Card Hardware of the system. I am using Windows 7 Home Basic. It is having 1GB graphics card, but when the computer starts /restarts, the ATI Software takes about 15 minutes in starting, which makes other Processes in the System run slower. So please tell me the solution to resolve this problem ?

Hello,

There are many problems with Windows 7 Home Basic. The best edition of Windows 7 is Ultimate, and the driver issue could also be the problem.

First, download the latest driver for your ATI Catalyst. Download ATI Catalyst driver. After downloading, uninstall the old driver and install the latest one.

If that doesn’t solve the issue, try upgrading to Windows 7 Ultimate. You can get the 31-bit and 64-bit ISO from here. Use Rufus, WiNToBootic etc. to create a bootable USB then install the OS from there. Learn how to install Windows 7. Then, it’s time to install the driver. Install the latest driver and restart your PC.

There might be also some hardware issue with your ATI Catalyst so make sure the hardware is OK. You need to consult an expert engineer to fix the issue.
