I am using an HP Pavilion DV7-7121nr but due to some issues, I have to reinstall my Windows. After that, I reinstalled all the drivers including the Beat's Audio Control Panel. However, when clicking on the listening experience, it won't allow me to tick the box next to Beat Audio. I uninstalled and reinstalled again the driver, yet it still the same. Could someone please help me fix this?

If you reinstalled your soundcard using the driver from the setup CD that ships with your laptop, try downloading the one from the official website: IDT High-Definition [HD] Audio Driver. It requires 64-bit Windows 8 or Windows 8.1. If you are not aware, your notebook is designed for 64-bit operating systems and only Windows 7 and Windows 8 are supported.

Microsoft Windows Vista and earlier are not supported. Once downloaded, uninstall your soundcard then restart the computer. Windows 8 should detect your soundcard and will prompt you to install the driver. Navigate to the download folder and double-click “sp59654.exe” to launch the installer and install the audio driver. See if this fixes the problem.

Normally, for HP Pavilion series laptops with Beats Audio support, you normally press CTRL + FN + B or FN + B to enable Beats Audio. To disable it, just press on the keys again. If you want to download other drivers for your HP Pavilion dv7-7121nr Entertainment notebook PC, visit HP Pavilion dv7-7121nr Notebook PC Drivers.
