AutoCAD 2012 software installation error

Hi,

I was installing the AutoCAD 2012 software on my Windows XP OS and while during the installation I received the following error message. I reinstalled the application but still have the same issue. Any suggestion would be grateful.

This application has failed to start because mcadpi.arx was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

AutoCAD 2012 software installation error

Hi Evan,

This is an issue regarding AutoCAD Launcher, seems to be a bug in that particular function. Check the file association for “DWG” from AutoCAD DWG Launcher to AutoCAD Application.

And put a check on Always use the selected program to open this kind of file. If all else fails then try to do a clean install for your AutoCAD by renaming all instances of the program from the program files folder and program data.
