AutoCAD attempted to read or write protected memory
It would be better to use AutoCAD 2012, I have used it from March 2012 up to now and not never did it give this problem. You should also try the Windows Restore Feature to go back a week or two when it still works to see if something got installed that messed things up. You will have to uninstall it. And then reinstall your AutoCAD again.

You need to update the AutoCAD 2006. The software has got corrupt. You need to make sure that you repair the software. For that you need to go to the control panel of the windows. Now select the Add and remove program. Select the AutoCAD 2006 and click on change. Select repair option and get the software repaired. You will then find that this problem is solved.
