Autodesk fails to open and forces to close

Hi experts,

In the middle of a project this error appeared in Autodesk and I am happy that I could save the project. I would like to prevent this to appear in the future because it could happen every time. Can anyone tell me why I have this error ? What is not working properly ?

Autodesk fails to open and forces to close

This error message shows that files you are trying to open, have become corrupted. 

Or, this type of error occurs when you try to open a file that have been saved using "3D max file/save"  feature. So, you may encounter that error with radiosity files that you saved by using this technique.

Therefore this error occurs when you open max files by using file menu.
