Availability of Fiber Optic Technology in USA

They said some places in Japan are now using fiber optic technology. I just can't imagine how fast it can download a 2 hour movie with that technology. Do you have any idea when it will be available here in the US?

More than 23 million miles of optical fiber already installed in the U.S. last year 2011, Dec and In United States already peoples are getting facilities of this high speed features which is up to 100MB download speed. Virgin mobile is the largest telecom that is already providing this service in USA and UK. If you want the service from them please call to their customer service and fix your package. The most important thing is its expensive than other network services. But for more speed it is worth of it. You can also call your near ISP provider. Hope, it will be helpful.
