Avast error while updating my database in Fedora 14

Hi Experts,

I received an error message while updating my database in Fedora 14. The message says

An error occurred in Avast! Engine: Invalid argument.

What kind of error is it?

Can I get the problem solved by Avast?

Please help me to get a remedy of this issue.

Avast error while updating my database in Fedora 14

Hallo Joby,

To resolve that issue, you will need to do the following:

• You will need to go to the Terminal and then type: sudo gedit /etc/sysctl.conf
• That should open up sysctl.conf as the root, and after that  you will make and then save changes to the file sysctl.conf.
• Once the file sysctl.conf is open, you will need to add the following line to it at the end: kernel.shmmax = 128000000
• Reboot your computer after that.
