Avid Media Composer Software Activation Failed Error

Hi Everyone,

I recently purchased Media Composer five. When attempting to install it on my computer, I got an email informing that the activation was successful, but then why is that I get the following activation failed error message. I have never used Media composer before and so I don’t have any previous versions installed. What then could be the issue when I receive confirmation of successful activation as well? I verified that I had entered the correct system ID and serial number during activation. I tried to uninstall and reinstall after logging in as admin. But still I get this error message without fail. I have issues with my internet connection and finally tried repairing permissions as well. Nothing seems to work. I’m clueless as to how to fix this issue. Can you please suggest a way to get this software up and running? Many thanks in advance.

Avid Media Composer Software Activation Failed Error

There is really no specific fix on this because each activation error that happens on each user is different from the other one. It is always like that. Sometimes the problem has something to do with a problem on the network card or maybe with the internet that causes the activation problem.

Sometimes the system shows that the program was activated by the editor that’s why the system back in the server thinks that it is already activated that’s why an email was sent confirming the successful activation. But it turns out that the program is not actually activated and showed the failed activation error.

That’s why it is important that you contact support so they can manually deactivate you and send you the files you need to delete. You may also try an indirect activation though I’m not sure if it’ll going to work. Visit Avid License Control Software License Activation and enter your valid activation information there.

Next, upload the license file to your machine where Avid Media Composer is installed and then activate the product and other features.
