Avira Internet Security 2012 error

Hi,

I just Started Avira Control Center and clicked on Start to update. A window with an error message may appear. I have spent many hours to find a proper solution but can’t resolve. I have reinstalled the application. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Avira Internet Security 2012 error

There are few reasons to occur such matters when using Avira anti virus. First of all make sure that your software copy is not an invalid  one. If you haven't tried manual updating try to update manually. Download the update files from the avira web site and run the zip file of it. Or else this may happen due to Neglecting proxy server. Various browsers will cause this problem too when downloading update files.

Right click on the internet explorer and click on properties.

Then click on connection tab and the LAN settings button. In that window uncheck all the options if you have selected any. Make sure to check your fire wall too.
