Azure infrastructure as a service(IaaS)

Iaas is a set of online services which provide computing infrastructure like virtual machines and sources as a service to the subscribers. These services abstract the user from the infrastructure details such as data partitioning, security, backup, location, etc. The virtual machine is run by a hypervisor like Oracle VirtualBox or Hyper-V. Pools of hypervisors support multiple virtual machines and scale up or down the services depending on the requirements of the customers. Iaas clouds provide resources such as firewalls, IP address, virtual local area networks, file or object storage, disk image libraries and so on. The customers can use carrier clouds which are dedicated virtual private networks, or even the internet to connect to these clouds and obtain resources from the pools of equipment installed in the data centers of the clouds. The cloud user maintains operating systems and application software. The services are billed based on the amount of resources allocated and consumed. There are a plenty of books on Iaas with technical coverage on the latest capacities of Iaas.
