What are the steps to follow in servicing computer speakers? I have a computer speaker which has a USB cable as its power cable and I would like to change the tip to a normal power cable socket. What are the precautions to consider in order to fulfill this task? What are the likely challenges to occur after this conversion or alteration? Thank you.

The basic procedures to consider in servicing computer speakers
If your computer speakers are getting its power from its USB cable connected to your computer that means your speakers operate in low voltage. If you want to remove the USB cable and replace it with a different one so it will no longer get its power from your computer, you should consider the voltage rating of your speakers.
Since it operates in low voltage, you cannot connect it directly to the AC outlet because it will surely fry the power supply or the board of your speakers. If you want to change the power source of your speakers, you probably need a voltage converter that is able to supply the right voltage for your speakers.
I know most users are using AVRs or voltage regulators on their CPUs but I’m not sure if it has a setting or a port that is suitable for your speakers.
