How long is the life of a mobile battery

It’s been too long that I am using my phone so it took several times to be drop on the floor. Seems the battery was still working. How long the phone battery would will be expired? Is it okay to charge the phone when it is not low battery? Does this can ruins the battery?

Hi Analyn,

The life of battery for the average user is usually 1 to 3 years or more, it is depending upon your usage. In your case, you are using Lithium-Ion battery it is best practice to recharged as often as possible since there is no memory effect and do not overcharged.
And please take note that charging and draining it regularly may cause to shorten the life span of your battery.

What's up online, its true you can ruin the battery when charging it if it's not low or empty, this is due to inserting much voltage to the battery even when it doesn't need to be charged. Overcharging or charging too many times causes the battery to have a shorter life span or spoil quickly. Removing the battery from the phone frequently can also cause the battery to spoil or shorten its life.

You also need not expose the battery to direct sunlight, doing this can also cause the shortage of the battery's life span. You should not expose the battery to moisture or rain. The battery's life span is usually 2 to 3 years when you use it carefully and take care of it. You should also not remove the battery when the phone is charging.
