Bearshare lite 5.2.0 cannot find people

I installed the old version of Bearshare lite. When I tried to search for anything, there’s not a single result coming out. I tried to look for ways to fix this problem, and they instructed me to delete a certain folder in my Bearshare folder. I did what they said and still nothing had changed. I restarted my computer and still nothing happened. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Bearshare lite 5.2.0 cannot find people

This is indeed an old application. If you did not encounter any problems during the installation and successfully finished it, maybe there is a different problem that is affecting the application. BearShare Lite 5.2.0 can be installed on a machine that is running on Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, Windows Millennium, Windows 2000, or Windows XP platform. This application does not require a fast processor and only needs at least a Pentium class with 166 MHz speed or faster. BearShare Lite 5.2.0 only needs 32 MB RAM installed on the CPU.

If the application seems to be not working when you tried it after the installation, try uninstalling it and then install it back to fix any corrupted files in the installation and to restore its settings back to default. Or, you may try downloading the file again at

If you can’t find anything when searching using the software, check again the settings.
