Dot Net Framework 4.0 is Microsoft’s consistent and comprehensive programming model for designing the applications that have visually impressive user experiences, seamless and secure communication, and the ability to model a variety of business processes.
The steps for installation of the dot net framework are as follows:

4. Go to the .NET installer executable and run it.
5. Accept the license and click on install.
6. .NET will be installed.

Dot Net Framework is a project designed by Microsoft to build’s the application for Windows. It also needs a runtime interpreter in the computer to execute itself. It supports various programming languages that are C#, J#, Managed C++, JScipt.NET, and Visual Basic.NET.
