 It is a tool that keeps an eye on the critical systems and services that run your system. It provides features like Handling of Events, Reporting, and Alerting.

It has a Monitoring Engine that makes it easy for the user to manage the network in a better way.

There is a version, known as Nagios XI that can be downloaded if one does not want to take the pain of downloading and configuring Nagios. Nagios XI is pre-configured and ready to use. Nagios XI is the best to work in small environments.
