I am a first year student of communication Engineering. I am very much interested on designing a mobile network using gsm structure. What is the best gsm architecture software?

The best gsm architecture software

Hi Robert GSM is the acronym for the Group Special mobile derived from yuvic and with your interest in GSM i can explain about GSM in simple words is that mainly GSM is divided into three subsystems which can be said as NSS, BSS and BMS as coming to each in brief NSS stands for Network Switching System Which is important network needed for establishing the actual network.

BSS is Base Station SubSystem which is mainly responsible for the control of radio path and every call will be get connected through BSS only but not through NSS.

NSS is always used to connect calls by using its system and the GSM have different types with frequencies like 1800,1900 and etc.. but each frequency can be used for the type of signal.

GSM architecture includes many stations in which all will get connected to NMS and BSS in the architecture and plays a major role in applying frequencies based on signal strength.
