Best option between LCD and LED screens in terms of performance

Which one is a better performing between the LCD screen and LED screens for a Cad designer? Does one have an advantage over the other and if so what should I be looking for between the two? What is the relative power consumption of the two and which is durable and relatively cheap?

Best option between LCD and LED screens in terms of performance

Generally here are the differences of LED -backlit LCD from LCD, LED dissipate less heat , occupies less space, provides more clarity, dark is darker, much expensive, higher use expectancy, consumes less energy and electricity (more than 50%). More so, it is noticeably that it is being pushed more into the market as this is a new technology. But, it is not absolutely true that newer Technology is better.
