Best tool for sas extract html table

I am aware that a SAS data set could be extracted directly from an html table. And I have found out that %READHTML macro is good at this. In relation to this, I would like to ask if this is already the best tool to improve the characteristics of SAS data sets? Like when a color is completely blank or when a column just contains plain numeric values, could I just delete the said column or change the variables for it to be better? Could anyone suggest a better tool for sas exract html table? The good thing with this tool is that I can make use of a variety of techniques in extracting, but if ever there would be a better tool, I would be open to try them.
