Hello everyone,
I love the Firefox browser and I use it for browsing the internet. But, since the last four days, I am having a problem. Whenever I open Firefox, I receive the following error message.
Error MSG:
Well, this is embarrassing.
Firefox is having trouble recovering your windows and tabs.
This is usually caused by recently opened web page.
You can try:
Removing one or more tabs that you think may be causing the problem
Starting an entirely new browsing session.
Someone please help me to fix this problem.
Thanks.
A big problem in firefox browser
Hi,
I can provide you 2 approaches to solve this problem.
1. Delete the backup file from the backup path if your data or old sessions are not very important. The path different for different operating systems.
For Windows XP: C:Documents and Settings<Windows login/user name>Application DataMozillaFirefoxProfiles<Profile name>
For Windows 7/Vista :C:Users<user name>AppDataLocalMozillaFirefoxProfiles.
2. Go to the profile path by following the above mentioned instructions. Then go to corrupted file in the Mozilla profile directory which Firefox had taken up as backup. Open it with Microsoft word / Excel or any other programs which will give an XML error message tell the reason why it does not open. It will give you the line number and column number of the error. Now, since you have the line number, open the editor showing the line number using notepad++3.5 or any other text editor which uses line numbers. Then go to the line and find out what's wrong, delete or correct it, rename it to session.rdf and replace it with the new session.rdf. This should fix the problem.
Note: Please SAVE old session as backup before starting the process; so that if the method does not work, then you will still have the old codes to try again.
Thank you.

You have to use the Mozilla Firefox or Mozilla Thunderbird program in (safe mode). You can start the program in Safe Mode by doing this — click Start >> Run. Enter any of the lines inside << >> these markings:
-
<<firefox -safe-mode>>
-
OR
-
<<"C:Program FilesMozilla Firefoxfirefox.exe" -safe-mode>>
-
**Don’t use << >>’s
-
For Thunderbird use:
-
<<thunderbird -safe-mode>>
-
OR
-
<<C:Program FilesMozilla Thunderbirdthunderbird.exe" -safe-mode>>
-
**Don’t use << >>’s
-
Edit the path if you installed the program in another location different than above. That should do the trick.
-
Or you can just re install your software. Use the latest version for a better experience.
