One of the services my company provides is for BlackBerry users who want to have an added performance and functionality for their phone. What I need to know is whether RIM is open to partnership with companies who offer services and products that have something to do with RIM’s services and products as well. If so, does RIM permit its partners to use its trademarks?

Blackberry: Query on RIM’s Services and Products
Hello Cody Baker,
Yes, RIM allows its partners to use its trademarks but with limited rights. What RIM partners gain being establishing partnership with it include the permission to use trademarks and logos. This is meant to increase the visibility of the people using the blackberry and also the wireless carriers and thus expanding the customer base.
RIM will also partner with companies which have a strong market position with products that have been proven to add performance and also improve the functionality of the blackberry experience.
Hope that will help you.

Blackberry: Query on RIM’s Services and Products
Hi Cody,
Blackberry is a great phone especially at work purposes and it is very elegant. Regarding with your concern about RIM, they would permit its future partners to use their trademark. It would actually help them to be recognized to corporate clients or audiences who would avail their services in the future.
