Hi there TechyV experts,
I really need all your help on this matter. I want to block all adult content websites in my browser.
The reason to do this is to make sure that my nephew won't be able to access these kind of websites.
What steps should I do in order to do all of these?
Thank you.

Blocking Some Adult Content Websites
Most people use software to block adult content on their computers not knowing that this is achievable on your browser. You do not need to incur additional costs of ordering software for this task. This applies to any browser:
1. Open your browser, and surf to the main Google page.
2. Along the upper right hand corner of the page, click on the settings icon and select search settings.
3. On the “Safe Search Filtering” section, select “Strict. ”
4. Scroll down and click “Save”.
Google will automatically block explicit images and text. This means that they will not appear when you search. These sites can only be accessed by typing their URL in the address bar of your browser only.
Here is how to block sites directly from your Internet Explorer browser.
1. From the menu bar click “Tools”.
2. Followed by “Internet options”.
3. Click on the “Content” tab.
4. Click “Enable” from the “Content Advisor” section.
At this point, you can specify your preferred settings.
Ratings:
Set levels for user general content, depiction of gambling, bareness, language, fondling, violence and so on.
Approved sites:
Propose the sites you want your children to always view or you can list the ones you do not want them to visit.
General:
-
Check the box to allow your children view websites that have no ratting or uncheck to block them.
-
Regulate the sites your children visit by creating a password. This is most appropriate for older children.
-
Vary the rating system.
The inbuilt way to block websites is not available in Mozilla Firefox.

Blocking Some Adult Content Websites
There are several websites blocking software you can use, like Adblock Plus for Firefox, Finjan Secure Browsing, and Flashblock. But I doubt that it will be effective as your nephew might also be aware of it and may try to unlock it himself. So you may want to try this:
1. Log in to your account as Administrator.
2. Go to Start and typing in the search box "cmd".
3. A DOS command page shall pop-up. Type: notepad C:WINDOWSsystem32driversetchosts
4. Put this line in the host: 127.0.0.1 (the website you want to block).com
5. Save it.
6. Try opening the website to see if it works.
Then all browsers cannot access all the websites that you don't want to.
