I've heard that the blue dot innovator of the google maps, made it even better wherein you'll be located wherever you are even if you are walking inside a building or something. Does it mean that it would also be better in places like the Philippines? Or does it only apply to places like United States? Right now it sucks, some of the streets and establishments doesn't even come up.

Hi Mayincau,

Google blue dot is like a locator  "you are here". It's just like a modern day compass but it uses your mobile.  It can locate yourself where you are. If you have GPS, it will correspond to your GPS. If you are walking alone and you are not familiar with the place, this is your guide.

The My Location feature is available for most Web-enable mobiles phones, including Java, Blackberry, Windows, Mobile, and Nokia/Symbian device. There is another feature of this innovation, it can look for products that is on the retailers store. There are already some participating store that joins the "game".

Anyway, enjoy your shopping if you will get a Google blue dot.  Just press 0 and look for the blue dot. If there is a light blue encircling the blue dot, it means uncertain. It's uncertain because it needs an approximate of 1000m for mobile tower near you.
