I am receiving the error message “'bootmgr is missing” after upgrading my Windows 7 operating system from 32-bit to 64-bit.
I also have tried to repair it using the installation CD, but still receiving the error message.
Can anyone help me resolve the issue?
“’bootmgr is missing” after upgrading Windows 7
To resolve that problem, you will need to follow the steps below:
-
You will need to get your windows 7 installation DVD and then insert it into your drive.
-
After that you will restart the computer.
-
You will need to set up the computer to boot from the DVD or the CD in the BIOS.
Windows 7 will ask you for language and keyboard layout information, so you will provide those and after that you will be asked if you want to re-install windows 7 or you want to repair your existing installation.
You will choose the repair option, after that windows 7 System Recovery Tool will start.
You will need to choose Startup Repair and then you will let windows 7 do the rest
