Brand new iPhone 6 is out of storage?

I recently purchased a brand new iPhone 6 and I barely have downloaded any apps or taken any photos.  I keep getting a warning that storage is almost full.  I do have email loaded but I never got storage notification due to email on my 4S.  Any suggestions or trouble shooting tips before I take the phone in?  I don't want to reload everything, I'm hoping this is just a glitch, and I would appreciate any recommendations.  Thank you.

Did you also remove all emails, SMS, verify that your recent deleted photo album is empty and that there isn't a downloaded all updates waiting to be installed. And also you have turned off the phone since doing all of this. Backup your contacts on iPhone and pictures and stuff and make sure you have backups. Now do a clean restore. You should be good.
