Why is Internet Explorer 9 doesn't work on Windows 7, 64 bits?
What's the best IE version to use for Windows 7, 64 bits?

My suggestion would be to reset the settings once again because this problem occurred to me as well, but after doing this (as instructed below) it solved and now its working fine.

Firstly, Reset your Internet Explorer 9 version settings. For this you have to do the following.

Start Internet Explorer. Click Tools menu >>>> click Internet Options>>>>- when the box pop out appears select advanced tab, here you'll get the reset button, click the reset button and then press Ok. Now Test the Internet Explorer 9 to check whether the problem further persists or not. You should also enable FTP site folder, use passive FTP that is compatible with your firewall and use clear type of HTML and check Certificate.

If this does not work then you should format your computer and install windows 7 with 64 bit, then install internet explorer 9 version . It should work.

You are facing problem in using Internet explorer 9 in your windows 7 64-bit. But Internet But Internet explorer is compatible of running windows 7. Sometimes Internet explorer crashes or closes immediately.
Sometimes it crashes and you might get error messages that internet explorer has stopped working. You have to make sure that your Internet connection has no problem. If your internet connection is ok, you can reset up your internet explorer 9. This problem occurs due to low memory or corrupted or missing files.
You can clear all history and restart your Internet explorer. Restarting your PC memory will clean. Then open the internet explorer or re-install it. If still any problem use Internet explorer 7 or 8 or another fast browser like Mozilla Firefox 4 or 5.

It seems if you will look for a download of Microsoft Internet Explorer 9, you will not find a compatible version for Microsoft Windows 7 on the Microsoft website. It will only direct you to a download that is designed for Microsoft Windows Vista. I think they are no longer providing the one that works with Windows 7.

You will end up looking somewhere else.
