In documents having many paragraphs, the appearance of the documents can be improved by increasing the space in between paragraph. Where in Word, is the built-in option that allows you to add such space?

Hi Jagodish,
To increase or decrease the space between different paragraphs in a MS Word document, you may try the 'Paragraph' option under the Format Menu. There you will be seeing options with a drop down list for spacing under the section Spacing.
-
First choose the paragraphs which you are looking to format,
-
Then select the options mentioned above, else you may right click on the selected paragraphs
-
Then select the Paragraph option which will take you to the same set of options that you need. You may also used the Indent option if you wish to align it in more pleasing way.
The built-in option that allows you to add such space.
It seems the previous post is referring to an old or different version of Microsoft Office Word. If you are using Microsoft Office Word 2007, the options for the “Paragraph” is located in the “Home” tab. Here, you can change or adjust the spacing between paragraphs. You can add a space before and after every paragraph and even adjust the spacing between each line in the paragraph.
To adjust the spacing between the paragraphs in Office Word 2007, first, compose your document with complete paragraphs. Now, select or highlight all the paragraphs. In “Home” tab, in “Paragraph” group or section, click on the small arrow on the bottom right corner to go the paragraph settings.
In the “Paragraph” dialog, in “Indents and Spacing” tab, under “Spacing” section, click on the up arrow button next to “After” to increase the spacing after a paragraph. Click “OK” after this. Note: changing the values for “Before” and “After” applies only to all the paragraphs you selected. But if no paragraphs were selected, the change will apply to the succeeding paragraphs after the cursor.
