Call display in msn was disabled. Need help

When I was trying to call a friend there are no called contacts displayed on the screen. 

The software is crashing when I try to chat and make a call. 

What is happening with my msn?

Help me to solve this problem.

This issue may occur if You are not running the latest version of Windows Messenger.

To resolve this issue Download and install the most recent version of Windows Messenger. The latest release of Windows Messenger includes updates that resolve several issues that involve voice functionality in Windows Messenger.

Hi Maxine,

Now known as windows live messenger.

Try reinstalling the software and make sure that you are able to delete the preferences and cache of the application.

Most applications provide this option when uninstalling so make sure you uninstall first before you install it gain (Using the latest version)

If you do not see any option to delete the preferences and cache during uninstalling, go to drive C > program files and find the folder for the application and delete it.

You may also need to do the same in the App Data folder
