Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 on iMac

Hi everyone,

I am an avid player of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Is it possible to play it on an iMac? We are planning to have a vacation at my cousin's house and they have iMac.

 

Playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 would be hopefully one of our bonding moments when we get there. Is it possible?

 

I've researched online and all I get are contradicting information, so I get a little confused. It will be so much fun if we are able to play it without any frame drops. 

 

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 on iMac

Hi Carol,

Yes, you can most certainly play Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 in an iMac. However, your computer must meet the requirements of the game and have the necessary hardware and software to run it. Here is what you need on your iMac to be able to play COD: MW2 smoothly.

Mac OS:

OS X v10.5 "Leopard"

OS X v10.6 "Snow Leopard"Operating System1.

Processors: Any Dual Core with atleast 2.4 GHz

Examples:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4 GHz

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4400+ 2.2 GHz

Intel Core i5

RAM:

At least 2 GB single or combined.

Graphics Card: Any HD capable

Examples:

NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT

NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS

Intel HD

ATI Radeon X1800 Series

ATI Radeon HD 5750

Disk Space:

Atleast 20 GB free

MW2 takes 13 – 14 GB of space, you'll need some more extra for the game to run without lagging.

Boot Camp:

Windows OS

Windows XP with SP2 or SP3 32-bit

Windows Vista 32-bit or 34-bit

Windows 7 32-bit or 34-bit

Genuine Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Installer

Direct X 9

External Mouse

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 on iMac

Well MAC isn't for gaming. For they who buy Macs  are generally artist/designers/animators/video and so on. And Steam haven't yet been officially announced for MAC yet.

So there is a quite little chance for you to try the eye candy graphics of CALL OF DUTY: MW-2 on your MAC.
Lets hope that Activision ports the game to MAC in future. 

Well you can try CALL OF DUTY 4: MODERN WARFARE, its available for MAC OS.
