I am running on Windows NT and I know it does not provide built in functionality to change Volume ID’s. How can I go about it? Are there any possible way I could change the Volume Id?
I hope someone could help me on this:(

Can I could possibly change a Windows server disk Volume ID?

Hi Karamhobbs ,
Windows NT system allows you to change the drive letter except the drive which you have installed the OS. You can perform this within few seconds. Here are the steps. Right click on my computer and select properties. After that select manage and click on it. Under the Computer management section select the Storage node. Then click on Disk Management. You can see the complete list of disk drives on your computer. Right click on the drive that you want to change the drive letter and select Change Drive Letter And Paths.
Then click on change button and select the letter that you want to assign. And click ok. The letter must not be used in other drives and drive not be open by any program.
Hope this is helpful.
