Can I remotely access a web cam?

Hello, my question is in regards to web cams.  I currently have one set up on my laptop, and I am wondering if there is any possibility of accessing it remotely?  I know there are concerns with viruses and their ability to do this, but I am just looking for a way to see my home for security while I am away.  I'm not looking for anything fancy, just an ability to access it.  Thank you.

Can I remotely access a web cam?

Yes. It is possible to remote access your webcam by different programs. The simplest way with some security is to use the Remote Control to giant full access of your computer, for example, connect through VNC or team viewer, then open a program for viewing your webcam.  Please be noted that you have to keep your laptop powered on in order to remotely access to the webcam.
