Hi Briones, Yes you can use a specific picture as a preview of a folder. In order to do that you have to follow this instruction please.
Option 1: Only for Vista
1. Copy the image as .JPG or .GIF format into the folder itself. Do not use other format like .BMP or .PNG.
2. Rename the picture file name to Folder. For example, Picture1.jpg should be renamed to Folder.jpg and Picture1.gif should be renamed to Folder.gif.
3. Optionally, set the folder picture file (Folder.img) with hidden attribute to prevent it from displaying when listing folder’s contents.
if you don't want to use this picture anymore then only just delete the Folder.img file.
Option 2: For all Windows
1. Right click on the folder and then select Properties.
2. Click on Customize tab.
3. Under Folder pictures section, click on Choose File button and browse & select the desired picture you wants to use.
Thank You
Yes, that’s possible. You can add a specific image to the folder to remind you of its contents. When you do this, the standard folder icon you see will display a picture inside it just like this:
But remember, this will only work if your view is set to “Thumbnails” in Windows Explorer. Now, to make a folder to display a picture inside it, start Windows Explorer then check that your view is set to “Thumbnails”. Next, navigate to the folder you want to customize then right-click it and select “Properties”. In the Properties window, go to “Customize” tab.
Under “Folder pictures” section, click “Choose Picture” then navigate and select the image you want to use.
When you are finished, click “OK” and that’s it.
