Can Lion open rar, will StuffIt Expander help

I am using OS X Lion, I have few .rar files which need to be opened and extracted. Can Lion open rar, Will StuffIt Expander help or is there any other specific extractor. Please let me know about free rar extractor that is readily available in the internet.

Hi,

Yes, you can extract rar files in Stuffit Expander. 

Follow these simple steps:-

1. Download and install Stuffit Expander from App store.

2. Click on Launchpad and open Stuffit Expander and wait for it to start.

3. Click on Finder icon and locate the RAR file.

4. Drag the file to expander icon.

5. Stuffit expander will create a subfolder containing compressed RAR file.

 OR

You may use UnRarx to extract RAR files, which is also a free app.
