I need to know if Microsoft Outlook 2003 has a feature that will allow to me to classify my email into categories such as Important, Confidential or Secret E-mails?
If none, is there any third-party software that I could use to help me classify my e-mails? I hope you can help me. Thank you.Â
Can MS outlook classify e-mails into categories?
Some recommends to use Microsoft OUtlook Categories instead of using multiple folders in email client. Once you get used to this feature, you can view groups categorized in your email inbox and easily categorized according to your selection in the category column header.
It is much faster to use Category feature in Microsoft Outlook 2007/10 compare to Outlook 2003 but this feature plays great advantage if you will get used to it. You can drag and drop mail items but the two has it's own lmitation when searching folders compare to regular Outlook folders. You can't share folders over network and this is the disadvantages of using this category feature on Outlook 2003.
Follow the steps below to categorized folder using Outlook 2003.
Choose the processed mail folder in the left panel or the navigation pane. Make sure the data is correct and store in the selected steps ahead.
Go to File Menu in Microsoft Outlook 2003
Select Search Folder
Dialog Box will pop-up
Scroll down until you reach Custom
Create a custom search folder
Click and select the folder then dialog box appears
Enter the name of the folder in the field
Set the source and in the search folder draws from
