I am using a Windows XP and now I want to use Windows 7. When I installed Windows 7, there was no sound coming out from my speakers. My computer shows that the speaker cannot be detected. I have connected my speakers and everything is ok but my computer cannot detect it. What should be done?
Computer does not detect speakers
Hi,
Please try these simple troubleshooting tips:
Â
Assuming you have already checked the following, like the speakers are already plugged into the computer and there is power in your speakers and your computer and everything is in place but there is still no sound at all. If that’s the case, the issue can sometimes be the hardware itself.

If you have an add on sound card, you may have to replace the sound card. But if you're using an on-board sound, you may want to purchase a cheaper sound card rather than replacing the motherboard. If you're messing with your BIOS, you may have to disable your on board sound, you can also consider that.

Computer does not detect speakers
Hey Khaled mithun,
Isn’t it really annoying when something is working properly with an operating system and not with its later version? Hmmm. But good thing is that the very first option comes in mind is compatibility issue. Most probably same is the case with your sound card, sound device or its port.
It could be hardware issue which means the sound card is a bit older to adjust with windows 7 and if not so, check your audio drivers. Windows 7 has not picked the audio driver properly. Get its drivers for windows 7 run the setup and just rock.
Have a nice day.
