Can one upgrade to Window 8 without running WGA?

I'm thinking about upgrading my computer to Windows 8, but I have a problem. Let's just say that I avoid running the "Windows Genuine Advantage" tool. Of course I can buy the full OS, but I just want to upgrade. Can I use official Windows to upgrade if my current install may not pass WGA?

Can one upgrade to Window 8 without running WGA?

Before upgrading to windows 8 we have to run the upgrade assistant manager.

Then we can upgrade it to the windows 8.
