Can someone help with Desktop backup solution Powerpoint presentation?

Hello Techyv members.  I'm not much of a technical guy so please bear with me.  I need step by step procedure on how to backup and restore my desktop in offline mode.  Can someone help me with a desktop backup solution PowerPoint presentation so I could understand it much better?  I'm on Windows XP 64 bit.  Thanks guys.

Hi Douglas M Scott,

I will provide you on how to use the Backup and Recovery of Microsoft in Offline mode. 

Go to Start > control panel > system maintenance > backup and restore.

Choose set the backup and backup now. Wait for it to create a virtual disk that contains all of your files.
