Hi there.
I noticed that the speed of my internet connection has been very slow lately.
Can someone here suggest an accurate internet connection speed analyzer that could determine the download speed, upload speed and ping?
I'm on a DSL connection with a guaranteed speed of 1 Mbps.

Hi Emileekeila,
What you basically need is to download or visit speed test sites. Here are the two sites that I can recommend: speedtest.net and speedtest.io.
Another way for you to clear out the cache from your internet is to go to your command prompt inside your accessories and type ipconfig/flushdns.

Hi Emileekeila,
Below are the some online internet connection analyzer.
-
Speed test net – This is the commonly used internet speed analyzer. You just click the "Begin Test" button to start the testing of your internet speed.
-
Bandwidth Meter Online Speed Test – You only need to select your location and they will calculate the connection speed.
-
McAfee's Internet Connection Speedometer – This will calculate your internet speed's download and upload.
-
Internet Frog's Internet Speed Test – They will test and identify your PC's download, upload speed. And even rank it accordingly.
You can also test your internet speed without using the online testing tool. Try the following:
-
Try the "ping" method on your desktop. If you have less than 100 ms latency you have a good connection. If you identify your network connection above 500 ms, that's one bad internet connection.
-
LAN Speed Test – This stand -alone utility tool enables the user to check LAN speed. You need to download and install to your desktop.
Hope this helps.

Even if you are using wired internet like DSL, there will always be instances when the connection will become slower than normal. If you want to check on your internet connection speed frequently without opening the web browser for a speed test, try downloading NetWorx. It is a bandwidth monitoring tool that includes “Speed Meter”.
With this feature, you can check on your internet connection speed any time you want even while working. Unfortunately, the program is no longer free after it was commercialized by the developer. The last free version of NetWorx is the one I have, NetWorx 5.5.5. The next version after this and all succeeding versions have to be purchased. For pricing, go to NetWorx Purchasing Information.
The latest version at the moment, NetWorx 6.2.1, supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10 both 32-bit and 64-bit.
