Can someone tell me how to get a domain for IRC Windows?

Hallo!

This might seem a bit ancient but I would like to know how to get a domain for IRC Windows. I already have channels hosted in a number of servers and thought of creating a chatroom with modern modifications for a more robust system. Kindly share with me on how I can get the domain for IRC.

You can hire a domain from a company like Godaddy then use a free web-based manager for domains which can allow you to efficiently administrate DNS.

A good example is zone edit.

Use this manager to manage all the DNS functions. Create a sub domain for irc and then set it to redirect as your server IP by changing your DNS (A) record to the appropriate IP address.

That will work.
