Can’t get repository updates on Windows 2003 SP3 64bit server

A Windows 2003 SP3 64bit server has SCCM 2007 SP1 in native mode installed. The physical box has all the components excluding the database reside on it. I am now unable to get the recent updates into the repository to deploy although I have seen the following errors over the last several months and did not pay any attention to them before. I need to resolve the issue completely as I am trying a work around for this month. To remove the FQDN from the SUP is one post I found.  The same errors are still there even after I done that. There is no real solution from any similar posts on the net. Greatly appreciated any help to resolve this problem.

There might be few reasons as to why this is happening. Maybe doing the following steps might help you.

First make sure that the updates are automatically turned on and there is no time limit on them. Mostly they are like always update whenever there is a new update but sometimes people make few changes as to when should the update happen.

After that, check if there is any firewall or antivirus has potentially blocked the update thing on the computer. The best thing to see here is the list of exceptions. If the updates are in this list then it is ok.

You can also try downloading the required updates from the Microsoft site as it will give you a chance to download only those updates that you need instead of downloading a whole bunch of updates.
